Description: This maintenance does not affect web filtering or any non-Secondary schools. Netsweeper need to take the webadmins offline to ensure the backup webadmin is working correctly with up to date data. In order to do this and run some tests, the GUI will become intermittently offline during this time window. Secondary schools attempting to make changes to filtering policies may discover that they are unable to do so during this period.

Description: Netsweeper filtering is currently assigning all users to the strictest 'student level' filtering, This means certain sites such as YouTube, Facebook etc which are usually available for staff are currently being blocked. This issue is currently being investigated as a matter of urgency.

Description: We are aware of issues with Windows Licensing since Netsweeper has been implemented. We are investigating this with Netsweeper. We have also been in contact with Microsoft. Description: There will be minor disruption to internet service in the next hour (11.15am-12.15pm) for some users while some essential maintenance takes place to the netsweeper filtering solution. Affected users should close and re-open their browser to resume service. Additional info: A bug has been identified (seen by a few in the last few days) with users reporting that there was "no ability to contact a Policy server". This is being patched by a Developer. We have 4 policy servers, and the patching will be staggered to cause minimal disruption. If users are affected they should connect to a different policy server simply by closing their browser and re-opening,

Description: Event: The old Bloxx web filter licensing has expired and Bloxx has been decommissioned. Impact: Anyone attempting to use Bloxx (e.g. via a PAC file or the webfilter.bristol-cyps.org.uk proxy) will not be able to access the internet. Resolution: Ensure that ALL proxy settings are removed from all devices.
