Description: The schools link to the internet via JANET will be disconnected while building work takes place at Bristol University. (through which our JANET link is routed.) For this scheduled downtime BCC will direct schools internet traffic via the backup Virgin Media line automatically so no downtime is expected. As this work is taking place over a weekend we do not anticipate much disruption to school services.

Description: The Networks team need to make the main school link to the internet (UKERNA 1 Gig link) unavailable while the hardware is upgraded in preparation for the increased bandwidth that we will be introducing soon. Internet access should be maintained as access will be redirected to the backup Corporate internet feed. We have been advised that downtime & disruption should be minimal.

Description: slow internet access being experienced by all schools. We have identified that the schools internet link is at capacity due to higher than normal volume of use. Networks are investigating to see if anything can be done in the very short term to alleviate this. However we have already set the wheels in motion to upgrade the link.

Description: Users are unable to log into Outlook web (Office 365 mail) via mail.bristol-schools.uk. This is a global issue and not just related to the bristol-schools.uk email accounts. User can still access their mail by using the Outlook client. We will update this as soon as we find out any details.
