2018-04-10 15:48:24 BST | we have raised the issue with Google support and are currently awaiting a response |
2018-04-11 08:47:42 BST | initial tests this morning seem to show the issue is resolved. Will keep this ticket open while this is fully verified. |
2018-04-11 11:22:02 BST | no further reports - closing incident |
2018-04-12 09:55:35 BST | This issue has recurred today. We have raised a ticket with Google and subsequently chased for an update. As yet there has been no feedback. Please be patient if you do try to complete the Recaptcha. It does take a while to complete - ensure you wait for all the images to reload. Only click verify once the images have all reloaded and pictures do not show what is asked. Alternatively use Bing! NOTE: Users that do not see the Recaptcha at all should check that they have Javascript enabled in their browser. |
2018-04-12 15:59:40 BST | So far information from Google has been limited. We are continuing to chase for updates. |
2018-04-16 10:08:12 BST | We are aware schools are still seeing this reCaptcha form. We have not heard any more from Google and have now attempted a different route of contacting themto try and raise this issue higher, and get it resolved. |
2018-04-17 09:29:08 BST | we have now been advised that Google Engineers in the USA are investigating why this is occurring and are waiting for them to provide further information. |
2018-04-19 11:24:33 BST | Google have now responded providing further information. We have made some additional firewall changes and are hopeful that within 24 hours should stop seeing the Captcha form. |
2018-04-20 13:11:16 BST | Further traffic that has been causing issues has now been blocked on the firewall. We believe this will resolve the issue and have not had any further reports in the last 24 hours of the Captcha being seen. This incident will now be closed. Anyone using the Hola VPN Chrome Extension will find that it no longer works and should remove it from their devices. |
