| Description | Some schools are seeing a Google Captcha page when trying to access Google services. This is normally caused by traffic from the network that Google deem excessive or suspicious. As a workaround we have changed our external IP. Any services that are tied to the old IP will need updating if they are required until we swap back. Please contact the Helpdesk for details of the new IP. We will move back to the normal IP at the earliest opportunity. |

| 2018-02-21 09:48:20 GMT | Schools are now reporting the Google Captcha prompt even though we have switched to a temporary external IP. This means that something on the school WAN is generating a large amount of traffic that triggers Google's anti-spam/virus controls. We are working with our corporate colleagues to identify the source of this traffic. Please ensure that all devices on your networks are fully patched with up to date anti-virus. |
