Description slow internet access through transparent proxy has been reported (I.e. not via school proxy servers). Networks team are working to identify the problem.

2015-11-13 15:47:01 GMT please be aware that this issue has been raised to Virgin Media for further investigation
2015-11-16 10:53:53 GMT A failover of the firewall has been scheduled for the evening of Monday 16/11 to attempt to resolve this issue.
2015-11-16 13:42:43 GMT some schools are also reporting slow internet through the education proxies. We believe a firewall failover will resolve this, which needs to be done out of hours this evening.
2015-11-17 15:54:46 GMT The firewall failover has improved the connection, however we are aware that the BCC connection to the Internet is saturated which is causing a slight speed degradation. This is being investigated as a matter of urgency and will be addressed as soon as possible. For now, this specific issue is being marked as resolved. We apologise for the delays you may incur in the meantime.
